Q. How much is the Concealed Carry Class?
A. Our class is $25.00 per person. Our remote fee is $150.00 plus $1.00 per mile outside of Tulsa. You must provide class room and shooting location. There is a cap of 20 students with this offer.
Q. Do I need to pre-pay for the class?
A. No, you do not need to pre-pay. You can pay the day of class. Payment must be cash or credit card the day of, no checks. Also, if you sign up for a class and do not show up without giving prior notice, we will require a pre-payment for the next class you sign up for. We usually have a waiting list for classes and ask for 48 hours notice if you can't attend, so we can fill your spot. However, we do understand last minute emergencies do come up, and we will work with you.
Q. How do I pay for the class?
A. You can pay in advance or the day of as long as you are paying with cash or credit cards. Checks must be received 5-7 days prior to your class date. Checks must be made out to Chris Reinke. They can be mailed or dropped off at the Morris Police Department to any on duty Officer.
Q. How do I sign up?
A. Please visit the page titled sign up or there is a link on the schedule page, fill out the form and submit it or you can call directly.
Q. How long is the CCW class?
A. The Concealed Carry Class is 8 hours as mandated by the State.
Q. Do I have to bring the firearm I am going to carry?
A. No, you may bring any firearm from a .22 to a .45 caliber. You will need 50 rounds of factory ammunition, NO RELOADS.
Q. Do you have rental firearms?
A. Yes, we have firearms to rent. Rental fee for all firearms is $10.00 plus ammunition, if needed.
Q. I have no firearms experience, is that ok?
A. Absolutely, we encourage you to attend. that is precisely why we keep our classes small. If you need a little extra one on one time, we are more than happy to give it.
Q. Is there a minimum score to pass?
A. No, There is no scoring on the firing range, you are graded strictly on safety.
Q. Where are your classes located?
A. We operate mainly out of Morris, Oklahoma. Our class takes place at the Police Department, and the shooting takes place just outside of town at our range. Morris is located 7 miles east of Okmulgee on HWY 62.
Q. Do you have to be 21 years old to take the Concealed Carry Class?
A. No, per OSBI you can be under 21, but you cannot file for your application until you are 21 years of age. We do not accept any students under the age of 18.
Q. How long do I have to renew my license?
A. You cannot apply for a new license until 90 days prior to your expiration date, you also have a 30 day grace period after the date of expiration on your license, after that your license is no longer valid and you cannot carry your weapon. You have 3 years from your date of expiration to renew before your are considered an initial applicant again. Instructors must complete the entire process every renewal.
Q. Does my certificate expire?
A. No, your certificate does not expire, however you must file the original with your application so make a copy for your records.
Q. Does my certificate have to be notarized?
A. No
Q. Does Oklahoma acknowledge my license from another state?
A. Yes, Oklahoma acknowledges all states permits as long as it is state issued.
Q. Is my license good in other states?
A. Oklahoma licenses are good in 35 other states. However, you need to check the states laws before carrying into them. They are as follows:

Q. Why do you keep your classes small?
A. We keep our classes small because most people are nervous enough coming to the class. That is only compounded when you have 20-25 strangers around you. Also, larger classes do not have enough time to spend with students that need a little extra help. We try to give all our students as much help and guidance as we can. Having a smaller class allows us to do so. We do not believe in giving only the minimum that the state requires. We want all our students to be comfortable during class and confident when they leave class.
Q. What happens if I lose my certificate?
A. We keep very strict records of our students, if you are one of our students, we will replace your certificate for free. Most others will charge you for it. You must contact your instructor for replacement certificates. We cannot replace certificates for students we did not teach.
Q. Can a student contact you after the class for questions?
A. Yes, we encourage our students to call us if they have any questions.
Q. Is there a written test?
A. Yes, there is a 15 question written test. You will be provided all the information to successfully pass the test. We do not give the test orally. CLEET mandates each student must take a written test. We have never had a student fail the test.
Q. Why do I need a baseball style hat?
A. You need the hat to keep spent casings from hitting you in the face from the shooter to your left. It is a requirement. No one will be allowed to shoot without a hat.
