I was really impressed that Chris and his wife spent lots of time with all the participants on the range, but focused on a few key things to help each participant maximize his or her shooting. I liked how even the most novice of participants were confident leaving the course. Chris presents the real world, and I was disturbed. "Never hearing anything good about ccw classes I just wanted to get it over with. I was raised around guns all my life in fact some of my best memories are with them. So naturally I went in to the class knowing my gun and my abilities. Quickly Chris began to change my opinion on ccw classes and improved my abilities. Chris went over the have to know material of the course. He then took a step further it was clear to me that this course is intended for you to get the most out of it. The class was two instructors short it was raining and we got stuck in the mud at the range but we had a blast! In short if you want to take a class where the instructors actually care and teach regardless of your age or your level of training take this course. "What an informative class! Chris gave us so many "situations" to consider when you have the responsibility of aquiring a conceal carry license. He encouraged questions and I felt comfortable asking them. The rain did not stop us from going to the range! I had never shot a semi-automatic pistol, and again Chris was patient and made me very comfortable on the shooting range. The help that he gives on stance and grip makes such a difference in accuracy. Thanks Chris for an awesome class! - Paula
"I am 61 years old/young--and hadn't fired a sidearm in 40 years. I rented Chris' 9mm and was pretty nervous, but because he walked me through all of it, I felt greatly encouraged and put completely at ease on the firing range. That was a big breakthrough and confidence builder for me and I now know I have good information to base my firearms purchase on. As for the classroom, wow! I'm not easily impressed, but I liked the course content as well as the way it was presented. This is not a class for someone who wants to be the next Wyatt Earp, but it's a great class for someone who'd like to feel more secure about their own safety and the safety of their loved ones. I expect to be in the Intermediate class as soon as I can. The only thing I'd change was the weather! But my clothes are dry now and it's stopped raining, so even that's OK. Thanks, Chris!" - Stuart

"I attended and completed this "AMAZING" concealed carry class on Sat 11/19/11 and I was so impressed with Chris and Dorothy on how they addressed the classroom session and the firing portion of the class. I had only shot 1 gun in the past until today and I was so thrilled as to how much I learned from Chris and I was made to feel as important to him as the advanced shooters. I would "highly" recommend anyone who wants to learn to handle and shoot a firearm SAFELY you need to sign up with Chris and I promise you will not be disappointed. "I went into the conceal carry course with no gun experience whatsoever! "I had a very good training course. The instructor was very thorough, and was ready to answer any questions that we had. I was also very appreciative, of the small class size. I have taken CLEET mandated training courses before, but they always had too many fellow students. This was the first course, where I did not feel lost in the shuffle. Kudos to SDS, for striving to keep the class size manageable. This way, they can concentrate on helping the attendees to understand their subject manner. "Outstanding class! The instructors were all very professional and patient with each student. Although I had shot a little before the concealed carry class, I found that I was more anxious when we got to the firing range than I thought I would be; however, Chris and Blake, took time to not only instruct each of us but to also encourage us as well. Even though it was like 197degrees on the range (just kidding). I would definitely recommend SDS to anyone interested in getting a thorough hands on concealed carry class.
